When we began speaking about the declining nutritional quality of our food, we realized just how many people are suffering from poor nutrition. We wanted a way to offer relief to those whose career choices and living conditions did not allow them access to quality food. As we looked at options, we realized that affiliate marketing was the best way to make quality nutrition products available without diverting our major efforts in agricultural research and food system education. In time, we added online learning options, and an affiliate bookstore so that people could find our classes and other information they need to take charge of their own food system.
Who are our affiliates
Udemy (online education)
Our partnership with Udemy allows us to provide online courses that are helping students on 6 continents restore microbiomes, build healthy soils, grow better food, and achieve their wellness goals.
A Network Marketing for Nutrition Products and More.
Most people lack important nutrients in their diet. Our partnership with a network marketing company lets us connect you to dietary supplements that are shipped directly from the manufacturer to the consumer. Your purchases there help support our podcast.
Bookshop.org
The battle for healthy food is a battle of the mind. Through Bookshop.org, we offer access to further reading that supports the content in our classes and podcasts. When you purchase from this link, you help support our podcast. Your proceeds also support local bookstores. Support for local businesses is part of our cornerstone philosophy.
How we choose our affiliate partners
Here are some of the factors we consider:
- Does the affiliate offer a selection of quality products of value for building one or more cornerstones of healthy food systems?
- Does the affiliate serve our clients in positive ways that we cannot. We do our best to understand your needs and interests. We can address a lot of questions about soil health, crop health, microbial community/microbiome health, and even your health. But we can’t answer all your questions, and we can’t begin to stock all the products and tools you might need to grow better food or embrace healthier, more independent lifestyles. By pointing you to affiliates we have built relationships with, we can extend our reach as well as yours.
- Does the affiliate offer opportunities for local communities. The economy has changed. We meet people daily who are struggling because the opportunities that used to serve them are gone. It’s hard to build robust food systems in failing economies. When we find tools and opportunities that might help those around us develop new income streams, we like to share those opportunities. Affiliations help us accomplish that goal.
