Our workshops, consultations, online training, and soil biology testing help growers put billions of soil microbes to work tending their crops, providing plants with nutrients, and defending them from pests and disease.
Large and small farmers, landscape managers, gardeners and others who want to maximize yields, improve crop nutrition, and reduce input costs are learning that soil biology plays a critical role in sustainable agriculture. Through individual consultations, we can help growers identify management strategies that build soil health to maximize crop quality and crop yields while minimizing pests and disease.
SOIL BIOLOGY TESTING
We offer qualitative testing of soil microbial diversity and density. We can also answer basic questions about quantitative analyses available from soil laboratories.
Our microbial analysis workshops show growers how to monitor their own soil vitality by examining the diversity and density, or abundance, of microbes in soil or compost samples. These workshops are recommended for growers who are committed to monitoring soil biology. Workshops require a minimum of 10 participants.
